Thanks, Paul, I'd not seen that. I've added it to my bookmark list.

Of course, redundancy is only one part of the problem of organising CSS. I do wish there were more tools to tackle more.

I've been wondering about CMSes being more aware of CSS for the last year or so, and I'm glad to see approaches to tackling the problem. (Actually, templating seems to be outside the scope of the CMSes I've come across, so it's a more general problem. Perhaps there's a space for it in a template-focussed IDE?).

I'm sure you've already seen Tom Armitage's <a href="http://infovore.org/archives/2007/07/06/the-css-redundancy-checker/" rel="nofollow">CSS redundancy checker</a>, but if not, I thought I'd mention it. Mind you, it seems the include-on-demand approach should mean you don't have as much need for it as some.

Thank you for the kind words, Ben. I'll get in touch directly outside this environment.

Hi Nick – love the blog, V helpful and intersteing. Probably a round about way to get in touch but I wondering if you had any recommendations for recognised Agile training course to send staff on. We are an online comms consultancy dipping our toe into Agile development and I want to send some of the team (PMs / Developers) on a course. All comments welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Darren. The other key framework on the templating side is Spring, which is used to configure lots of the components you see on the screen. However we plug in our own factories because the configuration of components always needs a consistent pattern. Other than that, Hibernate, as you'd probably have guessed.
